Latest from Fans Ratings
Whats New (December 2011) - Beta Trial
Fans Ratings has successfully completed its Alpha Trial. This involved entering ratings for a number of clubs in the Championship and League 1 (e.g. Leeds). If you would like to see an example of entered ratings, please select Leeds from the drop down list on the left.
We are now looking for Volunteers to take part in a Beta Trial, in readiness for full launch, later in the season. If you wish to take part, please let us know by emailing contactus@fansratings.co.uk, and we will enable your team, and update player and fixture data. Supporters from any team in the following leagues may volunteer to take part in the Trial;
- English Premier League
- English Championship
- English L1
- English L2
- English Conference
- Scottish Premier League
- MLS
All you will be required to do is to enter your ratings, for the team and Manager, after each fixture.
A club specific forum will also be set up for you to discuss entered ratings or any other subject related to your team, that takes your fancy. This could be a useful replacement or alternative for the BBC 606 forum each club currently has, and which are, apparently, to close down shortly.
Have your say
Want to have your say about how your team's players are performing (or not!)?. Want to make your views known about the manager's performance (team selection, tactics, substitutions)? ............ Well now you can. Fans Ratings has been created to allow everyone to have their say about their team, the manager, the referee and the club's owners.
With Fans Ratings you can;
- Enter your ratings for the players performance in the latest fixture
- Enter your assessment of how the Manager and referee performed
- Give your assessment of how the club's owners are doing
- See how the players and manager are doing across the season so far
- Vote for the players who should be selected for the next game (and the formation)
- Predict the score for the next game
- Discuss the ratings and predictions on the Forum
How Fans Ratings works
Latest fixture ratings
Rating is based on the team's latest fixture and allows a signed up fan to rate all aspects of their team's, manager's, referee's and owner's performance. Not all aspects have to be rated for a given fixture, e.g. you might still want to have your say about your manager, or the owners, even if you haven't seen the latest game. Ratings are displayed for each team and each fan can vote at any time (although only once) until the next fixture. The link to enter ratings can be found on the Latest Fixture page for your team. All ratings for a given team are regularly collated and available to view, after a few minutes interval (for performance reasons). Any team's entered ratings can be viewed, by selecting the team from the drop down list, but you can only rate the team that you have set up in your profile.
Next fixture Predictions
As well as rating the performance of the team in the last fixture, you can also vote for the players to be selected for the next fixture, the formation to be used and predict the score.
Season ratings
Season ratings are summarised on a regular basis, although the current month's ratings will clearly change throughout the month. These can be reached using the menu option on the team's home page.
Referee ratings
Referee ratings are entered as part of the latest fixture rating process. A full list of referees and their average performance rating over all fixtures can be viewed by following the link in the top navigation menu. Details for each referee can then be seen by clicking on the referee's name.
Quick Poll
Quick Poll allows non-team, non-fixture based polls to take place, and again requires anyone wishing to vote to sign up. The latest poll can be seen at the top right of this page or alternatively, along with other recent polls, can be found on the Quick Poll home page, reached from the top navigation menu.
Forum
You can discuss the performance ratings given and any other football related topic on the forum (the link can be found on the team home page).
Why we ask you to sign up
Simple sign up process
The reason we ask you to sign up in order to vote is obvious, i.e. to prevent your rivals rating your team. When you sign up you can pick the club side that you follow. You cannot change this at a later date. If this is a problem for you then you are probably on the wrong site!
How you can help us
In order to allow rating to take place, Fans Ratings has to set up relevant base data, which includes player, fixture and referee information. While every effort is made to ensure that this information is accurate and up to date, there will undoubtedly be times when inaccuracies occur, particularly following player transfers/loans. Please help us by letting us know of any such problems, by emailing details to datacorrections@fansratings.co.uk and we will seek to rectify them immediately.
